Linda Gonzales

ELKHART — Linda A. Gonzales, 71, of Elkhart, passed away suddenly Sunday, Nov. 12, 2017, at Memorial Hospital in South Bend following a brief illness.

She was born Dec. 19, 1945, in Elkhart, to the late Arthur Froelich and Mrs. Janet (Warren) Froelich of Elkhart.

She later married Jose E. Gonzales on July 30, 2005, in Elkhart.

Also surviving are children Kris (Jerry) Potter of Louisville, Kentucky, Kelly Carpenter of Elkhart, Kevin (Cindy) Carpenter of Goshen, Steve (Angie) Gonzales of Mason, Michigan and Tony Gonzales of Elkhart; brother James (Janet) Froelich of Goshen; sister Jody Froelich of Elkhart; 11 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Linda was a homemaker who enjoyed taking care of her family and living life to the fullest. She was also a devout Christian lady and was admired for her inner strength and strong will.

Along with her husband Jose, she was a former member of the Goshen Goldwing Chapter “H”.

Billings Funeral Home of Elkhart is honored to host Linda’s celebration of life services beginning with a viewing there from 5 - 8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 15, followed by a funeral at noon Thursday, Nov. 16, with visitation beginning at 11 a.m.

Burial will follow in St. Vincent de Paul Cemetery in Elkhart.

Memorial donations may be given to the “Make A Wish” Foundation.
