Immediate Actions

If your loved one has passed away at a nursing home, hospice facility, or hospital, kindly inform the staff that you have chosen Billings Funeral Home, and they will notify us promptly.

In the case of a loved one passing away at home under hospice care, please inform the nurse that you have selected Billings Funeral Home, and he or she will notify us accordingly.

If your loved one has passed away at home without hospice care, call 9-1-1. When the county coroner or police arrive, let them know you have chosen Billings Funeral Home, and they will notify us promptly.

When we receive notification of your loved one's passing, our care team will quickly respond. Meanwhile, please get in touch with us with any questions; we are available 24/7.

We understand this is a difficult time, but we'll need some essential information to assist you better. We'll require:

• Father’s and mother’s names (including maiden name)

Once your loved one is in our care, we'll schedule a meeting at our arrangements office with one of our funeral directors—Brad, Jo, Bill, Dorinda, or Kenna. They will carefully review your options, answer your questions, and guide you.

During this time, consider discussing potential arrangements with your family. Please review our services as a guide and contemplate details such as the location of the memorial, musical selections, dates, times, and the officiant of the service.

You may also want to gather the following items if necessary:
