ELKHART — Ann “Sharon” Bohs, 69, of Elkhart, went home to be with her Lord after an extended illness at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2012, at Golden Living Center in Elkhart with her family at her side.
She was born Feb. 22, 1943, in Goshen to the late Pierre and Beulah (Sayles) Bigler. She married Robert D. “Bob” Bohs on May 28, 1961, in Goshen. He survives at home.
Also surviving are her daughters, Marla (Tony) Magyar and Gretchen (Matt) Reverman, both of Elkhart; her sister, Barbara (Vernon) Miller of Middlebury; brothers Wayne (Pat) Bigler of Goshen and Dean Bigler of California; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A celebration of Sharon’s life will take place at Billings Funeral Home in Elkhart, with visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 16, 2012, and one hour prior to the funeral at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012. Burial will follow in Adamsville Cemetery in Edwardsburg, Mich.
In 1972, Sharon and her husband, Bob, founded Bohs Well Drilling Inc., a local company that has been in business for more than 30 years. She also spent nearly seven years at her daughter Gretchen’s hair salon, Innovations Hair Design of Elkhart, as the unofficial office manager, problem solver, advice giver and adopted “Mom” for all of the shop’s staff and clientele.
Sharon never knew a stranger and was blessed with the ability to always be able to lend a listening ear, an open heart and a strong shoulder of support during a time of need.
Her family wishes to acknowledge and thank the countless individuals who reached out to Sharon and touched her and her family’s lives during her illness.
