ELKHART — Edgar William “Bill” Gullette Jr., 94, of Elkhart, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2012.
He was born Nov. 20, 1917, in Seymour to Edgar W. Gullette Sr. and Etta (Staley) Gullette.
He is survived by a niece, Donna (Terry) Talley of Bordentown, N.J.
Bill served in the U.S. Army during World War II in the Pacific Theater. He then received a bachelor’s degree in business from Indiana University and later worked as an accountant at Bell & Howell in Wheeling, Ill., for more than 35 years prior to his retirement.
In addition to being an avid Chicago White Sox fan, Bill enjoyed listening to jazz, trading in the stock market and taking time to fish no matter where he was while traveling.
Cremation has taken place at Altera Cremation Services. A graveside service with military honors will be held at a later date at Prairie Street Cemetery in Elkhart.
