ELKHART — Martin K. “Marty” Butler, 66, of Elkhart, passed away peacefully at home following a brief but courageous battle with cancer on Monday, Nov. 13, 2017.
He was born in Somerset, Kentucky, Aug. 12, 1951, to the late Henry and Roxie (Martin) Butler.
On June 30, 1972, he married Betty Ann Maudlin. She survives at home.
Surviving are his daughter, Tracy (Scott) Tibbetts; brothers Bruce (Brenda), Rodney and Bob Butler; sisters Shelby West, Janice Garland and Vickie (Mike) Cash; grandson Sawyer Tibbetts; and a host of loving nieces and nephews.
In accordance with Marty’s wishes, cremation is to take place assisted by Billings Funeral Home of Elkhart with a private burial later in Stearns, Kentucky.
Marty’s passions in life included his family; especially his beloved grandson, listening to music and photography.
Memorial donations may be given to the United Cancer Services of Elkhart County.
