William A. “Bill” West, 73, of Bristol, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at Raclin House in Mishawaka, after a hard fought battle with cancer. Bill was born on February 8, 1949 in Elkhart, to the late George and Anastasia (Kielczewski) West. Bill graduated from Elkhart High School in 1967. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War from 1970 until his honorable discharge in 1972.
Bill retired from CTS after 25 years of service as a purchasing agent. He also worked for a time at Adams & Westlake LTD. Bill loved animals, and will be missed by his two fur babies, part Rhodesian Ridgebacks named Turner & Hooch. He loved being outdoors, tried to have a garden each year and just enjoying life, wine, and a good time.
Surviving are his siblings and their families. Brother James A. West; sister Sue West and her longtime companion Daniel Balyeat; many nieces and nephews, including nieces, Nicole (Bill) Williamson, Katie Tucker, Morgan (Randall) Bond, Taylor (Ryan) Broadstreet; Jaime E. (Chad) Smith-Bean, Angela (Jeff) West-McKean and Sherri (Jim) Kirchner and nephews Matthew J. (Stephanie) Smith and Tony West; and many great nieces and great nephews; and his siter-in-law Patricia J. West, survive as well.
In addition to his parents a brother Donald E. West preceded him in death.

Military graveside services for Mr. William A. “Bill” West, rendered by the United States Army Funeral Honor Guard, will be held on Wednesday, June 15, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Marion National Cemetery, 1700 E. 38th. St., Marion, IN 46953.
