Virginia “Ginny” L. Lough, 81, of Bristol, passed away on Monday, April 12, 2021 at her home.
Virginia was born in Kendallville, IN on March 28, 1940 to the late Arthur L. Hostetler and Mary C. (Cornelius) Hostetler. She was married to the late David L. Lough on November 8, 1969 in Elkhart. She is preceded in death by her husband, David L. Lough on October 6, 2007 and her brother, Burton L. Hostetler in 1970.
Ginny is survived by her children, Paula Heaton of Elkhart; Matthew (Gretchen) Lough of Indianapolis, IN, Andrew (Merideth) Lough of Columbus, OH and Craig (Barbara) Mast of Galien, MI; sister, Lorayne Howard of Dayton, OH; 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Ginny graduated from Elkhart High School. She was a line worker in many local manufacturing companies including CTS Corporation for 11 years. Ginny also cooked in the cafeteria at Elkhart General Hospital and Northside Middle School. She was known for her expertise at genealogy. Ginny enjoyed sewing, crocheting and crafting. She loved her family especially her grandkids and great grandkids whom she dared them to give her a “hug”. Ginny will be missed for her independent spirit and her sense of humor.
A Celebration of Life Service for Ginny will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, April 15, 2021 at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart, IN 46514 with visitation 1 hour prior to the service from 10-11 am at the funeral home. Pastor Jeremy Sarber will officiate. Burial will follow at Prairie Street Cemetery.
