Timothy "Tim" D. Nifong

Timothy “Tim” D. Nifong, 61, formerly of Elkhart, passed away on Saturday, February 20, 2021 at his home in South Bend.

Tim was born on October 18, 1959 in Twentynine Palms, CA to the late, Darrell and Judy (Kirkwood) Nifong. He is preceded in death by his parents, Darrell and Judy.

Tim is survived by his sisters, Tammy Holobyn and Trudy (Tracy) Nifong-Bowser, both of Elkhart; nieces, Holly and Mandi (Jonathon); nephew, Joseph (Teisha) and great nieces, Ariella, Isabel and Sadie.

Tim was a graduate of Horizon Learning Center in Elkhart. He worked for many years at ADEC Industries. Tim was a huge Notre Dame Fighting Irish football and basketball fan. He especially enjoyed watching basketball players “airball” their shots. Tim’s hobbies include playing the organ and building with Lincoln Logs. He enjoyed family vacations to Madeira Beach, FL. Tim had an uncanny memory and acute sense of direction. Tim was known as a cheerful, “happy go lucky” guy and he will be greatly missed.

A Visitation for Tim will be held on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart, IN with Rev. Tim Sheets officiating. Tim’s Funeral Service will follow immediately at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Little Pine Creek Cemetery.
