Sylvia C. Alg

ELKHARt - Ms. Sylvia C. Alg, 72, of Elkhart, passed away peacefully at Elkhart General Hospital following an extended illness on Tuesday, Mar. 27, 2017 at 1:45 am.

She was born May 26, 1945 in Elkhart to the late Francis Smead and Aletha “Erma” (Martin) Roberts, and is also preceded in death by her step-father Fred Roberts, son Bradley White, daughter Cindy Null, brother James E. Smead and her faithful dog, Doobie.

Surviving are children Angela Goad, David White and Donald Wodtkey; brothers Michael (Diana) and Donald (Patti) Smead; grandchildren Heidi (Juan) Ramirez, Jasmine Cooper, Amanda (Jeff) Carlisle, Stephanie Null, Amber, Josh and David White, Jr., Rodney (Tracy) and Jeremy (Evonne) Stemm and Jacob and Tayler Wodtkey, and a host of great and great-great grandchildren.

In accordance to Sylvia’s wishes, cremation is to take place and a memorial graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at 12:00 noon at Rice Cemetery in Elkhart. Billings Funeral Home of Elkhart has been assisting the family with the arrangements.

Sylvia worked at several area manufacturing facilities but retired from KIK of Elkhart. She enjoyed taking care of her family and grandchildren, living life to its fullest and babies.

Memorial donations may be given to the Humane Society of Elkhart County.
