Stuart D. Arnold, 54, of Elkhart, passed away on Thursday, September 24, 2020 at Elkhart General Hospital. He was born on November 2, 1965 to the late Roy G. Arnold Sr. and Cheryl (Beaver) Arnold, who survives at home.
Stuart is survived by his brother, Roy (Renee) Arnold Jr.; sister, Jenean (Bill) Halsey; five nieces and nephews, Gleynnda (John) Miller, Lois (Allen) Barber, Chris (Brittany DeWitt) Halsey, Linda (Jason) Woolverton, John Halsey; nine great nieces and nephews, Paige, Jacob, Alexis, Malaya, Lilly-Anna, Nicholas, John Jr., Logan, and Zechariah; and best friend/co-worker, Benji Schro. He is preceded in death by his father; sister-in-law, Drema Arnold; and niece, Elizabeth.
Stuart was a very intelligent man who worked for six years at Walmart in Dunlap as a maintenance technician. He enjoyed watching all sports, especially anything involving the Cubs, Colts, and Notre Dame. He loved attending weekly Nascar races with his brother Roy and loved going to local stock races as well. Whenever he had the chance, he played many card games with his family and enjoyed playing Bingo. Stuart will be missed greatly by his loving family and many friends.
Visitation will take place on Tuesday, September 29, 2020 in the early afternoon from 1-3 p.m. and later in the evening from 6-8 p.m. at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St. Elkhart, IN 46514. A funeral service will take place on Wednesday, September 30, 2020 at noon in the funeral home with Pastor Jeremy Sarber to officiate with an hour of visitation prior from 11-12 p.m. Please follow proper social distancing procedures and bring a mask to wear. Immediately following the service, burial will take place at Prairie Street Cemetery where he will be laid to rest with his father, Roy G. Arnold Sr. Memorial donations may go back to the family to help pay for funeral expenses.
