Sharon "Sherry" Kay (Antonelli) Hubartt

Sharon Kay Hubartt, 62, of Elkhart, passed away surrounded by her family on Tuesday, August 29, 2023 at her home.

Sherry was born in Elkhart, IN on May 26, 1961 to Louis A. and Lois J. Antonelli.

Sherry is married to the love of her life Derek P. Hubartt on April 17, 1993 at Trinity on Jackson Church.

Sherry is survived by her husband of 30 years, Derek Paul Hubartt of Elkhart; brothers, Nick (Cindy) Antonelli of South Bend and Alex (Josie) Antonelli of Granger; sisters, Kathy (Bob) Bevihymer of Mishawaka and Donna (Chuck) Girten of Edwardsburg, MI.

Sherry was a demand planning professional at Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics.  In her spare time, she looked forward to the companionship with her women’s group, Tuesday Girls and met up with her friends at the Wellfield Botanical Gardens.  

Sherry was an avid reader. She enjoyed being outdoors whether it was hiking, kayaking and boating. Sherry enjoyed travelling as well.

She enjoyed excersizing and yoga. She was always looking for calm. Sherry was sweet and always thought of others before herself.

Sherry had a unique talent for bringing people together before and after her illness.

A Celebration of Sherry’s Life will be at 12:00 pm on Thursday, September 7, 2023 at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart, IN 46514 with Pastor Arnell McCoy officiating.

Friends and family may gather for 2 hours prior to the service from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at the funeral home.
