Sharon Rose Wise

Sharon Rose Wise, 78, of Elkhart, passed away on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at her home.

Sharon was born on April 4, 1943 in Lafayette, IN. She is preceded in death by her granddaughter, Megan.

Sharon is survived by her daughter, Kimberly (Cien) Asoera of Elkhart and son, Doug (Kim) Wise of St. John, IN; sisters, Jo Sue Knowles and Carol Gates, both of Lafayette, IN; grandchildren, Cole, Michael and Tyler; and 2 great grandchildren, Collin and Hunter.

Sharon was spent her career working for the Elkhart Community School System, where her positive and upbeat attitude left a lasting effect on Elkhart teachers, students and faculty. She was an Elkhart Central Blue Blazer at heart and spent many years selling tickets to football and basketball games with the help of her granddaughter, Megan.

She loved playing cards and dominos with friends and family. As an honorary member of the “Girls Committee”, she would crash and attend many parties. Sharon was a frequent shopper at the Goodwill Store and at garage sales, always on the look-out for a great bargain. She was a decorator whom loved showing off her holiday decorations in her yard and home to all.

Sharon was loved by her friends at Greenleaf Health Campus and her neighbors on Pine Ridge Court. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She will be greatly missed by many.

A Celebration of Life for Sharon will be from 1:00pm to 4:00pm on Sunday, September 19, 2021 at Elcona Country Club, 56784 C.R. 21, Bristol, IN 46507. Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart is assisting the family.
