Sharon M. Willard

ELKHART - Sharon M. (Applewhite) Willard, 82, passed away Friday, February 22, 2019 at the home of her daughter. Sharon was born on May 12, 1936 in Elkhart, to Joe Applewhite and June (Martin) Price. Surviving are her children, Brenda J. (Richard) Bidelman, Mark (Sherry) Willard; four grandchildren Amanda (Jon) Campbell, Emily (Brett) Darrough, Brittany Willard, Dustin Luce; five great grandchildren Daniel Bidelman, Izabela Bidelman Campbell, Aden Campbell, Bailey Shoup & Kamdyn Carter; a sister LeeAnn Davis; two nieces and one nephew.

Sharon was preceded in death by father Joe Applewhite, mother and step-father June and Donald Price and half-brother Tom Applewhite.

Sharon retired from Homan Lumber Co., where she worked in the office, she formerly worked for GTE in customer service and as an operator. Sharon was in the class of 1954 at Elkhart High School. She had many interest including, gardening, reading, cooking, music, antiquing, her cats and spending time with her family.

Friends may call for 1 hour prior to the 11:00 a.m. Memorial Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, February. 28, 2019 at St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church. 1108 S. Main St., Elkhart. The Rev. Matthew Coonan will officiate. Placement of her cremated remains will follow at St. Vincent Cemetery. Kindly direct memorials in Sharon’s name to the Center for Hospice Care, the church or the Humane Society of Elkhart Co. Arrangements are under the care of Billings Funeral Home, Elkhart.
