Sharon K. Chupp, 75, of Elkhart, was called to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 4, 2020 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Goshen on November 29, 1944 to the late Alvin and Nettie (Deeter) Stutzman.
Sharon is survived by her loving husband, James Chupp; sons, Mark (Mariah) Chupp of Elkhart and Terry (Deborah) Chupp of Goshen; grandchildren, Jessica (Nick) Haynes, Collin (Meghan) Chupp, Jadon (Barbara) Chupp, Kalin Chupp, Jocelyn Chupp (Shane Miller), Nathan Chupp, and Katherine Chupp; and great grandson, Benjamin Haynes. She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Lamar and Robert Stutzman; and sister, Carol Ann Walls.
Visitation will take place on Friday, August 7, 2020 from 9-11 a.m. at Living Faith Fellowship Church, 2601 Benham Ave, Elkhart, IN 46517. Services will take place on Friday at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Eric Atzigen officiating. A burial will follow services at Salem Mennonite Cemetery in New Paris, IN. Memorial donations may go to Living Faith Fellowship Church, 2601 Benham Ave, Elkhart, IN 46517. Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St. in Elkhart is in care of services.
Sharon was a kind and caring woman who loved the Lord and her family. She married the love of her life, James Chupp, in 1964 in Elkhart County; they spent over 50 wonderful years of marriage beside one another. Sharon was a paraprofessional at Concord Schools for eight years before retiring in 2011. She was most proud of her achievements as an award-winning artist whose artwork was known throughout Elkhart County and beyond. Sharon will be missed greatly by her family and many friends.
