ELKHART — After a courageous battle with cancer, Selina (Stahl) Leon, 56, completed her mission for the Kingdom of God & was called home to heaven on April 17, 2018. Selina was born to the late John A. and Jean (Bussard) Stahl. She was a dedicated mother to her children, Gabriella who passed in 1994, Emily (Joseph) Morrison, Noah (Taya) Santoyo, and Hanah Leon, and a loving sister to Laura (Leanne) Stahl and John (Yolanda) Stahl. In addition to her parents, and daughter, a brother Eric and sister Dawn, preceded her in death.
Even while battling cancer, her faith was evident to those around her. Some of her children’s favorite life lessons included:
-Listen, not only with your ears, but with your heart & mind.
-Be kind to others; you never know the journey they’ve been on.
-Say hello & smile to others. You may be the only kind person they meet that day.
-The world is filled with wonder, take time to appreciate the world around you.
-Never go to sleep angry.
-Don’t sweat the small stuff.
-Forgiveness will set you free.
She was an Elkhart native & Central High school graduate, Selina worked for Colombo’s for over two decades. Her favorite pastime was watching her daytime soap operas & taking her children to the park.
