Ronald Annis Life Story

Ronald A. Annis, 81, of Elkhart, went home to his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Thursday, February 3, 2022 at his home.

Ronald was born on January 31, 1941 to the late Arthur and Harrietta Strasser in Mishawaka, IN and later adopted by Walter R. Annis and Bertha (Hueni) Annis of South Bend IN. He was married to the love of his life, Tameron (Spivey) Annis on August 13, 1961 in Wilmington, DE. Ronald is preceded by his parents.

Ronald is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Tameron Annis of Elkhart; children, Susan (Scott) Rollins of Erwin, TN, Angela Marie Annis-Kortman of Elkhart, Rhonda (Jim) Orozco of Naples, FL and Mark (Jena) Annis of Chicago,IL; 10 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; brother, Dennis Smith and sister, Judy Scott.

Ronald graduated from South Bend Riley High School. Afterwards, he honorably served his country in the U.S. Air Force. Ronald was a trucker and later a recruiter with Horizon Transportation in Elkhart.

Ronald, a born-again Christian, devoted his life sharing his love of Christ with all ears that would listen. His sole mission in life was to spread the “Gospel” much like Jesus. He would occasionally minister “The Word” and sing hymns at Boardwalk Chapel next to his home in Elkhart.

Ronald enjoyed flying planes, working on his collection of classic muscle cars throughout the years, and building model airplanes in his spare time.

Ronald was a quiet, intelligent man with a great memory until the end. His wry sense of humor and crystal blue eyes were known to light up the room.

There will be a graveside service with military honors at 1:00 pm on Friday, May 20, 2022 in Bremen Cemetery, 111 S. Center St., Bremen, IN 46506.
