Robert "Bob" Nadon Life Story

Robert “Bob” Paul Nadon, 83, of Elkhart, passed away on Saturday, November 14, 2020 at Memorial Hospital in South Bend.

Robert was born on May 13, 1937 in Cook County, IL to Elbert W. Nadon and May (Riendeau) Skelly-Nadon. Robert married Barbara (Emmans) Nadon on Oct. 5, 2001. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Jean Ann Nadon and his brothers, Alan, Dennis and David Nadon.

Robert is survived by his wife, Barbara (Emmans) Nadon of Elkhart; children Leatha (Jesus) Mendez and Neal Nadon, both of Elkhart; grandchildren, Gabriel, Jesse, Erica, Aaron, Jesus Jr., and Jessica; and brothers, DJ “Don” Riendeau and Terry Riendeau.

Bob honorably served his country in the US Army. He was a member of the DAV Post 19 and American Legion Post 0143 in Bristol. Bob was a warehouse line worker with Circle Industries. He also was a truck driver at Tredit Tire Co. and worked at Elkhart General Hospital. Bob was a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church. He was also a volunteer of the Elkhart Civil Defence for 22 years. Bob collected fire arms and loved singing gospel songs and musicals. He was a hard worker who always provided for his family.

A Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, November 20, 2020 at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Bristol. Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., is assisting the family.

Memorial Contributions will be directed to St. Paul’s United Methodist or to the family.
