Bob graduated from Pace University with a bachelor’s degree in accounting. He went on to work for Harry Winston, Inc. as a diamond assorter for over 30 years.
Bob attended church his entire life, beginning his journey the year he was born at Calvary Baptist Church in New York City up until 1958. Once Bob and Doris moved to New Jersey in 1959, they began attending Brookdale Baptist Church where they were members for over 40 years. In 2003, the couple moved to the Elkhart area and began attending First Baptist Church of Elkhart, being members there for over 19 years.
As an active member of his churches, Bob served in many different roles and positions. These included Christian Service Brigade Leader, Deacon, Sunday School Teacher, Church Greeter, Pianist, Trustee and Life Group Leader, just to name a few. Bob served in these various positions over the course of 70 years, showing his passion for the church and the lifelong commitment he had to serving others and his Lord and Savior. It should also be noted that Bob had the privilege of serving as an usher and counselor during the Billy Graham Crusades of 1957 in New York City, making a lasting impact on himself and many others in the region.
In his spare time, Bob enjoyed gardening, swimming, sailing, taking long walks, and fishing. He always adored spending time with his family and visiting the Adirondack Mountains and Lake Champlain in New York, where many memories were made.
Bob will best be remembered for being faithful, dependable, and a gentle spirit, who also possessed a good sense of humor. He, along with all the love and joy he shared, will be dearly missed by those whose hearts he touched throughout his life.
