Phil "Mac" R. McHenry

Phillip “Mac” R. McHenry, 74, of Bristol, passed away on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at Elkhart General Hospital.

Phil was born on May 26, 1947 to the Everett McHenry Jr., and Mary E. (Melton) McHenry in Kansas, IL. He is married to the love of his life, Lois (Chapel) McHenry on January 2, 1965 in Fairmount, IN. Phil is preceded in death by his father, Everett and several brothers and sisters.

Phil is survived by his wife of 56 years, Lois McHenry; mother, Mary E. McHenry of Marion, IN; daughter, Toni Lynn Bishop of Murfreesboro, TN and son, Michael (Flora) L. McHenry of Michigan City, IN; brother, Bob (Cheryl) McHenry of Marian, IN and Pete (Mary Ann) McHenry of Peru, IN and sister, Carol (Mark) Jones of Muncie, IN; grandchildren, Hailey, Amber, William (Cheyenne) and Holly; and great grandchildren, Kesan, Kimber and Dimitri.

Phil was known as a “jack of all trades.” He was a delivery driver for Elkhart General Hospital as well as a part time courier for Elkhart Clinic until recently.

Phil was an avid golfer and an original member of the Bent Oaks Country Club. Most of all, Phil was a supportive family man and loving grandfather and great grandfather.

A Memorial Service for Phil will be at 11:00 am, Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart with Pastor Bob McHenry presiding. A gathering of family and friends will be held one hour prior to the start of the service Tuesday from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
