ELKHART: Orlando Yowa Long, 25, passed away Tuesday, July 14, 2020 at his residence. Orlando was born on August 1, 1994 to Marvin E. and Tina (Tosie) Long on the Island of Kosrae of the Federated States of Micronesia. He was preceded in death by his mother Tina and a sister Skyflower E. (Long) Smith.
He is survived by his father Marvin E. Long; two brothers, Frankie (Jen) Tosie and DN Daley and his sister Sharyselin Long. Orlando is also survived by his many brothers and comrades in his Army Reserve Unit, the 656th. Transportation Co., based out of Hobart. He was a graduate of Elkhart Memorial High School and proudly served and was an active duty reserve in the Army for almost 6 years. He had been working in the RV Industry, most recently at Utilimaster.
Orlando was a gamer and liked to hang out with his friends. He was well liked and will be missed.
Visitation for Orlando will be 1-3 pm. Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St. Elkhart. A service of remembrance will follow. The afternoon will conclude with military honors rendered by the United States Army Funeral Honor Guard. Cremation will follow. He will be laid to rest in his native Federated States of Micronesia.
