Navanit Pragajibhai Patel

Mr. Navanit P. Patel, 60, of Elkhart, passed away peacefully IU University Hospital in Indianapolis on Thursday, November 16, 2023 following an extended illness.

He was born in Puniyad, Vadodara, Gujarat, India on May 27, 1963 to Pragajibhai and Dahibahen Patel, who survive in India.

Also surviving Navanit is his wife Neelabahen “Neela” Patel and his daughters Shreya (Charchil) and Sonali (Vihul) Patel, all of Elkhart, and a community of extended family and friends.

Services of the Hindu faith will be celebrated with Navanit on Sunday, November 19, 2023 at 12:00 noon (with viewing beginning at 10 am) at Billings Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Elkhart. Cremation will follow services.

Navanit had been working as a member of the housekeeping staff at a local hotel but had to retire early due to his health issues. He enjoyed spending time with his family and communicating with loved ones back in India.     

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Navanit’s family in care of his wife, Neela.
