Myrtle J. Garman, 88, of Elkhart, passed away on Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at her residence. She was born in McDowell, Kentucky on October 27, 1932 to the late Linze and Emma (Dye) Moore.
Myrtle is survived by her children, Danny Garman of Goshen, John (Diana) Garman of Victorville, CA, Marilyn (Tom) Wortinger of Lehigh Acres, FL, and Gloria (Rick) Noble of White Pigeon, MI; two brothers and a sister; and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Glenn Bryant of Norwalk, OH; daughter, Millie Garman of Elkhart; and several brothers and sisters.
In accordance with Myrtle’s wishes, no services will be held at this time. A private gathering of family and friends will take place at a later date. Cremation was chosen and will take place at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St. in Elkhart and Altera Cremation Services. Memorial donations may be given to Riverview General Baptist, 1201 E Indiana Ave, Elkhart, IN 46516.
Myrtle was a very strong willed and fiercely independent woman who was devoted to her Lord and Savior. She attended Riverview General Baptist for many years and was a homemaker for most of her life. Myrtle enjoyed collecting owl figurines and knick knacks that decorated her home. She will be missed greatly by her loving family and church family.
