Michael J. Testo Jr.

Michael “Mike” J. Testo Jr., 72, of Edwardsburg, MI, passed away on Tuesday, August 16, 2022, at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center. He was born in Elkhart on April 20, 1950, to the late Michael and Margaret A. (Billey) Testo Sr.

Mike is survived by his siblings, Sandra (Lunda) Tucker and Stephen (Dulee) Testo; niece, Amber (Lanrary) Olasheu; and special friends, Al Lusk and Jill and Tony Trenshaw. He is preceded in death by his parents and faithful bulldog companion, Opal.

Mike graduated from Jimtown High School in 1968 and would soon after proudly serve in the United States Navy aboard the USS Rich during the Vietnam war. He worked for several years in the construction industry after he graduated from the Chicago Institute of Carpentry. Mike was a quiet man who kept to himself, but he had a selfless and caring heart where he would give the shirt off his back to help someone in need. In his spare time, he loved to tend to his garden, fish, go deer hunting, and cheer on the Fighting Irish. Mike was also an excellent bowler in which he took several of his local bowling leagues on to state tournaments and he was a devout member to his local V.F.W. in Edwardsburg, MI. Mike will be greatly missed by his loving family and many friends.   

In accordance with Mike’s wishes, cremation was chosen and will take place at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St. in Elkhart. Memorial services will take place at the V.F.W. in Edwardsburg, MI at a later date.
