Maryanne (Konicek) Rudin, 75, was peacefully promoted to heaven on Tuesday, May 24, 2022, surrounded by family.
A beloved wife, mother, grandma, sister and friend, Maryanne found joy in spending quality time with her immediate and extended family. She also enjoyed pinochle nights and gatherings with her closest friends. Gardening and house projects (there were always many) were rewarding ways in which she loved spending her free time.
Maryanne had an unwavering faith in God. She was a member of St. Thomas for over 30 years. She was a member of the church choir and an active PTA parent. She spent the last few years working at St. Joseph Medical Center. She deeply enjoyed serving and interacting with patients and staff. She had a great love for helping people.
Maryanne is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Ron, her favorite son Eric (Angela), her favorite daughter Megan Melton (Matthew), and her favorite son Adam (Lucy). What made Maryanne most happy was her grandchildren Madeline, Ben, Isabella, Zoe, Joseph, Michael, and Kateri. She is also survived by her brothers Frank, Richard, and Michael Konicek. Michael and his wife Deb provided much needed assistance with her care in recent months. The family is forever grateful for the love and support given by them and countless others.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 9, 2022, from 4-8 p.m. at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St. in Elkhart.
A mass celebrating her life will be held the following day on Friday, June 10, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. with an hour of visitation prior at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 1405 North Main Street in Elkhart.
