Mary Ellen (Hostetler) Miller

Mary Ellen Miller (85) of Apopka, FL (and formerly of Elkhart), passed away Saturday, March 11, 2023, at AdventHealth Apopka.  She was born November 4, 1937, in Goshen to Perry and Helen (Goble) Hostetler. On April 14, 1957, she married L. Paul Miller in Elkhart. He passed away June 20, 2012.

Survivors include a son, Jerald S. Miller (Richard Phillips), of Rancho Mirage, CA, a daughter, Melody (Shawn) Weeks of Apopka, FL, and three granddaughters (Rebecca, Jennifer, and Laura Weeks).

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brothers, Wayne E. Hostetler (Wooster, OH) and James E. Hostetler (Naples, FL).

Mary Ellen was a 1955 graduate of Elkhart High School.  After graduation, she was employed in the offices of several local companies and churches and retired in 2009 from MTS Products, Elkhart.  In addition, she was an organist and played for church services, weddings and funerals for over 20 years.  She was a member of First Baptist Church, Elkhart.

Viewing and visitation will be held at Billings Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Elkhart in Friday, March 24, 2023, from 12 noon until 1:00 pm, when the Homegoing Service will take place. Burial will follow services at Prairie Street Cemetery in Elkhart.
