Mary Harmon Life Story

Mary Josephine Harmon, 82, of Bristol, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 26, 2020 at her home. Mary was born on July 29, 1937 in Chicago to the late Anthony and Rose (Guido) Cuppari. She married the love of her life Roger G. Harmon Sr. on July 27, 1957 in Chicago; He passed away on April 8, 1990, after 32 wonderful years of marriage. In addition to her husband and parents, a sister Celia Sowell and brother Augustino Cuppari, preceded her in death.

Surviving are her loving children, Roger (Theresa) Harmon Jr. and Pamela Harmon; she will be greatly missed by her six grandchildren; Christopher (Hannah) Harmon, Adam Maas, Matthew (Nicole) Harmon, Rebecca Maas, Bill (Jessica) Harmon and Elizabeth Harmon; as well as four great grandchildren; and two sisters, Angie Baker and Antoinette (Larry) Jones.

Mary was a loving homemaker; she truly excelled in her role as wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a lifelong Catholic and an avid Chicago Cubs Fan.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, March 2, 2020 at 10:00 am CST, with visitation 1 hour prior to the mass at St. George Catholic Church, 6707 175th St., Tinley Park, IL. Rev. Robert VanKempen will officiate. Burial and graveside services will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Steger, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Mary’s name to Cubs Charities, Community Affairs, Wrigley Field, 1060 W. Addison St., Chicago, IL 60613.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St. Elkhart.
