Lloyd J. Wysong, 93, of Elkhart, passed away peacefully on Monday morning, April 15, 2019 at Elkhart Meadows. He was born on May 18, 1925 in Logansport, Indiana to the late Lloyd and Sarah (Brubaker) Wysong Sr.
He married Lyon Brammer on December 7, 1989 in South Bend, Lyon passed on March 7, 2008 in Elkhart.
Surviving is a step-son Glen Brammer; sister Evelyn Mae (Wysong) Crabb; and close friends Charles (Elaine) Baldwin and his church family at Living Faith fellowship.
Lloyd enlisted shortly after graduating high school to serve in the U.S. Army from 1944 until his honorable discharge in 1946.
In his younger days, he worked as a farmer in the Rochester area. For close to 14 years, he worked as a greeter at the Meijer store. He was a member of Living Faith Fellowship and the American Legion.
Services for Lloyd will begin at 11:00 am Thursday, with visitation 1 hour prior at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St. Elkhart. Charles Baldwin will officiate. Military honors will be rendered by the U.S. Army Funeral Honor Guard and DAV Chapter #19. Private burial will follow at Highland Cemetery in South Bend.
