Leslie Webb Funderburk, 58, of Nappanee, IN, passed away on Thursday, March 16, 2023, at her daughter’s home in South Bend.
Leslie was born on April 23, 1964, in Alton, IL, to the late John Anderson and Teddy Ann (Healey) Anderson. She married Woodrow W. Funderburk on December 2, 1997, in East Prairie, MO.
Leslie is survived by her husband of 25 years, Woodrow Funderburk of Nappanee; children, Casandra (Anthony) Williamson of South Bend, and Johnthn King of Mishawaka; grandchildren, Capri, Maliki, Keelee, Jabria, Jordyn, and A.J.; brother, Douglas Ray Anderson of Phoenix, AZ; and several close nieces, nephews and cousins.
Leslie was a truck driver for many years. She was also a semi police with the Missouri D.O.T Cop and an instructor for the school administration trucker’s school. Her husband, Woody, was also a proud truck driver.
Leslie was an excellent cook, and she was known for her famous cheesecake recipe. She had a big heart for animals. Leslie enjoyed being outdoors and gardening.
She will be remembered by the family as a strong willed, intelligent woman who would give the shirt off her own back. Her family was her world. She truly loved being a wife, mom, and grandmother.
A Visitation with friends and family for Leslie will be on Wednesday from 2:00pm to 4:00pm on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart, IN 46514.
