Lee Willson Life Story

Lee J. Willson, 79, of Cassopolis, MI, formerly of South Haven, passed away on Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at Memorial Hospital in South Bend.

Lee was born on February 18, 1942, to the late Jim and Alice (Ely) Willson in South Haven, MI. He lived most of his life in Michigan.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Jim, and Alice; brother, Mark Willson and Carol Gordon.

Lee is survived by his daughters, Robin (Marc) Brower and Shannon Willson; brothers, Bruce (Pauline) and Tim Willson; sister, Penny Lawson; 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

Lee served his country in the U.S. Air Force for 3 years. He wore many hats during his working career. Lee was a truck driver and in the R.V. Industry during the R.V. “boom” including working at Coachmen R.V. in Middlebury and most recently a forklift driver at Pet Life Foods.

Lee was an avid old school video gamer. He collected numerous video game consoles throughout the years. He was also an outdoorsman, who loved hunting and fishing.

Lee was a constant joker, with a kind heart and was a flirtatious guy. Most of all, he was a great dad and grandpa.

There will be no public services for Lee.  Per the family’s request, Lee will be cremated. Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart is assisting the family. The Willson family will spread his cremated remains on the family property in Baldwin, MI.
