ELKHART: Larry D. Abel, 90, passed away Sunday, November 28, 2021. He was born on January 4, 1931 in Chicago to the late Clarence and Hazel (Longley) Abel. He married Concetta “Connie” R. Adamo on November 11, 1954, Connie survives, as well as their 7 children; Kathy Gordon, Mark (Marybeth) Abel, Sue Keller, Denise (Greg Closter) Abel, Mary (Tony) Gary, Laura (Chris) Fullmer and Tracy (Tony) Balzano; 13 grandchildren, Joseph, Michael and Amanda Gordon, Matthew and Meredith Abel, Louie, Julia and Krista Keller, Samantha and Keanna Gary, Casey and Marissa Fullmer and Gina and Andrea Balzano, and a great grandson Isaac Keller.
In addition to his parents, siblings, Richard, Phyllis, Jeannie, Wilbur, and a great granddaughter Koby Lux Fullmer preceded him in death.
Larry worked for CTS Corporation for 39 years and as a tool & die maker for his brother. He was a longtime member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. Larry proudly served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict.
Private services and burial were held in St. Vincent Cemetery, with Father Jason Freiburger of St. Thomas officiating.
