Karen is also survived by her loving husband, husband, Michael Okazaki; children, Mark Daily of Indianapolis, Kayla Cook of Gary, IN, Matt Daily of Hammond, IN, and Thomas Okazaki of Elkhart; grandchildren; brother, Randy Cooper of The Villages, FL; and sisters, Nancy Harner of Monee, IL and Kelly Cooper of Minocqua, WI. She is preceded in death by her mother and sister, Deann Cooper.

Karen worked as a corporate trainer for TCF bank for several years and was an active member in her community as part of the Elkhart City Democratic Committee. Karen enjoyed traveling with her family, especially when she could visit Michigan. She enjoyed exploring little towns and old cemeteries where she would admire the architecture of older buildings and learn the history of citizens from the past. In Karen’s spare time, she loved baking cookies, cakes, and delicious brownies for her grandchildren and for her guests who visited her home. Family meant the world to her, and she loved every moment that she got to spend with her grandchildren and children. Karen will be dearly missed by her loving family and many friends.
