Joyce worked in retail for many, many years and most would be able to remember her behind the counter at W.F. Lilly’s The Paper Depot. However, Joyce found her peace at home amongst the multitude of bird feeders and flowers. She loved all types of wildlife, but Hummingbirds and Orioles were her favorites. She would always make sure their feeders were full. She also enjoyed her flower and vegetable gardens, always amazed at the vibrant beauty of what she could grow. Wavy Petunias and Fuchsias were a favorite as the hummingbirds would love them as well.
Joyce also loved her family dearly and always enjoyed attending family gatherings where she could catch up on all the family news, share her delicious dishes and spend time with the great grand kids. She enjoyed traveling back to Fishers Island where she was raised and to the cabin in Northern Michigan. In addition, she loved to sew, talk on the phone with family and friends, and just living a simple and quite life while enjoying all the natural beauty around her. She was a joy to be around and we will miss her dearly.
Friends and family may leave memories, condolences and pictures on Joyce's obituary page on the Billings Funeral Home website. Thank You for your interest in Joyce's life story.
