GRANGER — Joyce May “Joy” Dralle, 87, of Granger, passed away Wednesday, May 30, 2018.
She was born March 8, 1931, in London, England, to the late Albert and Rosina (Wilson) Cowdrey.
She married Robert “Bob” Dralle in Aberdeen, South Dakota, Dec. 26, 1957.
She was a great, wonderful, loving person.
She loved to be around people.
She loved her children deeply and loved and cared a lot for her grandchildren.
She was very outgoing and loved to do lots of activities with friends and family.
She loved to travel, especially going on cruises. She loved shopping, music, gardening, dancing, her dogs, writing poetry, painting and art.
She was a member of several organizations, including the Moose Lodge, Parents Without Partners and the Sew Angelic Red Hat Society.
She was a former member of the Jefferson Homemakers and a former officer of AARP.
She attended the Pleasant Valley United Church of Christ.
She is survived by her sons, Shaun and Stephen Dralle; grandchildren Abbie, Tyler, Colton, Hunter, Hanna, Stephanie and Emily Dralle; sister Rose (James) Woodward; nephews David Woodward and Gorden Crowdrey; and her niece Denise Woodward.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Bob, her parents and her brother, Albert "Bonny" Cowdrey.
The family will receive friends starting at 9 a.m. June 1, at Pleasant Valley United Church of Christ, 10955 Edison Road, Osceola, IN 46561, with a celebration of life following at 10 a.m.
Billings Funeral Home of Elkhart is overseeing arrangements.
