Jimmie Sue Ward Queener, 83, of Elkhart, passed away Saturday April 3, 2021 at East Lake Terrace. She was born June 27, 1937 in Providence KY, the daughter of (the late) James G. and Daisy Evelyn (Gobin) Woods. Jimmie grew up in Providence and graduated from Providence High School. She married Randall Ward in 1956, and following his death, married Donald K. Queener in August of 1963 in Trinity Lutheran Church. Jimmie attended Murray State University and IUSB. She was an interior designer and she owned & operated Jimmie Queener Upholstery and Window Design. In addition to her parents and her husbands, Jimmie was also preceded in death by her infant sister, Jewel Dean Woods and a grandson, Johnathon E. Mochamer. She is survived by one daughter, Randi (John) Ward Mochamer, three sons, Pastor James (Kathy) Ward, Mark Queener, and Matthew (Toni) Queener. Jimmie is also survived by eleven grandchildren, Jacob Mochamer and Thomas Queener of Elkhart; Jared (Kirsten) Queener, Kailee Queener of Indianapolis, Jason (Hannah) Ward and Andrew King, both of Indianapolis, Bailey Queener of Covington KY, Joseph Queener of Austin, TX, Maggie (Zach) Eckler of Plainfield IN; Amy (William) Sinclair of Monticello, Ausra Queener in Germany and four great-grandchildren, Kallie, Eva, Gage, Kira; her sister, Nancy Nicholas of Elkhart and three nieces, Sarah Amos, Susan Vaughn, and Sally Holloman. Visitation is from 4-7pm Wednesday April 7, 2021 in Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St. in Elkhart. Private burial in Violett Cemetery in Goshen.
