Jessie was employed at United Shade for over 20 years here in Elkhart.
In her spare time, Jessie enjoyed listening to live music, whether it be oldies, gospel, or even the Elkhart Jazz Festival. She also enjoyed taking walks through local parks such as Bonneyville Park, Ox Bow Park, and the Mishawaka Riverwalk. When Jessie would find herself at home, she enjoyed diving into a good mystery novel or TV show, gardening, caring for animals, and baking, being most famous for her strawberry cake.
Jessie was a devoted Christian, always taking the time to attend church and listen to words of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She adored being able to spread the hope and love of the church, especially with those closest to her.
Jessie will best be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend who adored all whom she met, especially her best friend and granddaughter, Danielle. She was a selfless, giving, and caring soul, always doing things for others or simply checking up on those around her. Jessie also had a bubbly, sassy, and strong personality, always being able to come out on top of every tough situation she endured.
