James "Jim" Rinaldi Life Story

ELKHART — James “Jim” M. Rinaldi, 61, of Elkhart, passed away at Elkhart General Hospital on Friday, January 18, 2019. He was born in Elkhart on January 14, 1958 to the late Angelo Rinaldi and Joanne (Aller) Hurley.

He is survived by his daughter, Burgandy (Preston Coburn) Rinaldi; step sons, Derek Shagena and Dakota Dodd; brother, Gilbert Harder; and sisters; Michelle (Steve) Rose and Tracy Harder. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Jim worked at LaSalle Bristol in Elkhart for 23 years after retiring in 2008 as a warehouse worker. He was an avid golfer and a talented musician who played the drums for various bands, mostly country and western bands, for over 20 years. He enjoyed playing drums for the Rock and Roll bands the most.

In accordance with Jim’s wishes, cremation will take place at Billings Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Elkhart, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart. A graveside service will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, January 25, 2019 at Prairie Street Cemetery in Elkhart with Pastor Gary Sheets officiating.
