Jim, JB, Jimmy, Jim Ed, Downtown Jimmy Brown, or however he was lovingly known, was a caring and selfless man who would put others first before himself. He was married to the love of his life, Bethann Uhlenberg, on June 17, 1985, and worked at Haulmark Motor Coach in Elkhart for many years. Jim was loved by his many friends and would participate in the occasional “health and safety” inspections at the local Hooters. He was an excellent stock car racer and was well known throughout the local motor Speedway circuit. In 2014, Jim was inducted into the Michiana Racing Hall of Fame in South Bend. He was full of surprises and enjoyed going on cruises with his wife and surprising her with thoughtful gifts throughout the years. Jim would even surprise his friends with gifts to show them he was thinking of them and appreciated their friendship. He was loved by so many and will be greatly missed by all the people he has impacted.
