James H. Fike

James H. Fike, 74, of Elkhart, passed away on Sunday, February 14, 2021 at Elkhart General Hospital.

James was born on December 19, 1946 to the late Ralph and Evelyn (Madison) Fike in Three Rivers, MI. He was married to Sandra Fike in 1965. Jim is preceded in death by his parents, daughter-in-law, Evelyn Fike and sister, Susan Null.

Jim is survived by his wife of 55 years, Sandra of Elkhart; children, Allen J. Fike and Julie A. Fike, both of Elkhart; sister, Mary Juday of Bristol; granddaughter, Erica (Brian) Kelley of Elkhart; and step granddaughter, Haley Wheeler.

Jim was a welding supervisor, truck driver and worked in the powder coating department in various local manufacturing industries. He was also head of shipping and receiving department at Voyager/Waite. He was a member of Edwardsburg Seventh Day Adventist Church in Edwardsburg. James enjoyed watching sports and tv shows, particularly westerns. He was an avid I.U., Chicago Bears and especially Chicago Cubs fan. Jim will be remembered as a happy go lucky guy and always had a smile on his face.

A Funeral Service for James will be held at 1:00pm on Thursday, February 18, 2021 at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart, IN 46514 with visitation 2 hours prior to the service at the funeral home. Pastor Harry Rogers will be officiating. Burial will follow at Rice Cemetery.
