Iris C. Chamberlin, 93, of Elkhart passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family at Hospice House of Elkhart on Saturday, March 7, 2020 at 7:10 am.
Iris was born on July 3, 1926 to the late Frank and Mary (Brown) Rabold in Robinson, Illinois.
She was preceded in death by her former husband, Frank Chamberlin and former spouse, Elmer Woodcox; and 2 granddaughters, Anita Myers and Caroline Chamberlin.
Iris is survived by her children, Tammy Brake of Elkhart, Dan Chamberlin of Elkhart, Pamela Myers of Columbia City, IN and Tad (Sue) Chamberlin of N. Webster, IN; 17 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
Iris belonged to the Red Hat Society and Relief Society of Elkhart. She enjoyed her flower garden and playing card games especially “Bunco” with her friends. Iris was a great cook even though she didn't like to cook. Most of all, Iris loved to spend time with her family and travel.
A Memorial Service with the family will be held at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to Billings Funeral Home, Elkhart.
Iris will be buried at Syracuse Cemetery next to her husband Frank.
