Heriberto Marines, known as "Roberto", 65, of Elkhart, passed away at the Critical Care Unit at Elkhart General Hospital, in Elkhart on Wednesday, July 22, 2020.
He was born on June 7, 1955 in Teloloapan, Guerrero, Mexico to Heriberto Celestino Marines and Cristina Velazquez Najera. He was married to Celestina Contreras Carlos.
Surviving are his wife Celestina; his children Sofia, Cesilia, Kristina, Armando, and Roberto Jr. Celestino; his son in law Armando Parra; his grandchildren Merari, Yvonne, and Carmen Parra, Johnathon, Joaquin Jr., Yessica, Jovani, and Ian Celestino, Albany, Arlene and William Garcia.
He is preceded in death by his parents Heriberto and Cristina and a son, Joaquin Celestino.
Heriberto worked hard as a Press Operator at Norco Industries for 20+ years. He was very loved among the company and gained many amazing friends. He had a hobby for fishing and gardening. He created many lovely memories with his family and friends. Heriberto was a great, generous and friendly man that did nothing but spread love and laughter.

A Funeral Service for Heriberto will be held on Monday, July 27, 2020 at 4:00 PM in Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart, IN 46514. Fr. Daniel Niezer of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church is officiating. Visitation will be from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, before the start of the funeral service in the funeral home. Burial will be at Prairie Street Cemetery on Tuesday.
Please remember that county COVID-19 restrictions are in effect and dictate that facial coverings must be worn inside the funeral home at all times, and that no more than 50 individuals may occupy the building at any one time.
