Harold Allman Life Story

Mr. Harold Edward “Pete” Allman, 47, of Elkhart, passed away unexpectedly at the emergency department of Elkhart General Hospital on Thursday, Oct. 21, 2021 at 3:33 am after falling ill at home. Pete was born on February 11, 1974 in Elkhart to Franklin “Bub” (Eva) Treece of Elkhart and the late Alberta M. “Bert” Fritz, and is survived by his significant other, Anna Carroll of Elkhart.

Also surviving Pete are his children Brian (Lindsey), Hope and Danatay Allman and Ethan Couch, all of Elkhart; step-daughter Tylinda Garrison of Barboursville, Kentucky; brothers Franklin (Mary) Treece, Jr. of Gainesville, Missouri and Justin (Kristine Ward) Treece of Elkhart; sisters Billie Jo (Danny) Bowling of Corbin, Kentucky, Robin Allen and Crystal (Steven) Garrett, both of Elkhart, and Emily Yoder of Millersburg; grandchildren Emmiah, Elexsa, Emmy and Elyzah Reyes and Astaria and Zephyr Allman; and a loving host of extended family, friends and pals, including his two dogs Ace and Dozier. Besides his mom, Pete is preceded in death by a brother, Asa Whisman and a sister Angie Smith.

In accordance with Pete’s wishes, cremation has taken place with the assistance of Billings Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Elkhart. No immediate services have been planned.

Pete worked at US Cargo Trailers in Bristol as a forklift operator for many years; but when he wasn’t at work, you could usually find him pursuing one of his several hobbies.

He was an accomplished woodworker, and he took great pride in his talent of making things for folks. He also enjoyed scrapping precious and semi-precious metals for extra money and was also into old bikes and cars, and just loved attending old car shows. He had always said that at some point in his life he’d love to own a ‘70’s style Harley Chopper.

Additionally, Pete was a talented sketch artist and was coming along nicely at honing his skills with a tattoo gun. He sported several interesting and unique tattoos he designed himself. He was also an ardent supporter of our nation’s second amendment and loved to go skeet and target shooting and attending gun shows where he could work on building his knife collection. He also loved fishing.

Finally, it should be mentioned that Pete loved his children and grandchildren with all his heart and was the happiest when he had his family around him. Pete would give the shirt off his back for anyone and will always be remembered for his huge smile and generous ways.
