Glenda R. Sailor, 58, of Elkhart, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, September 26, 2021, at Elkhart General Hospital. She was born on October 8, 1962, in LaGrange, Georgia to the late James E. Harris and Janice M. (Chandler) Reaves, who survives.
She is also survived by her loving husband, Steve Sailor; daughters, Kate Sailor and Stephanie (Jason) Lancaster; daughter in law, Adrienne Sailor; grandchildren, Ella, Bodhi, Parker, Eliza; brother, Jason (Alicia) Reaves and Steve (Amy) Reaves; stepsisters, Angel Harris and Rebecca Baugh; and mother, Janice Reaves. She is preceded in death by her father, Cleyburn “Clay” E. Reaves; son, Scott Sailor; and stepbrother, Jaime Harris.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 5, 2021, from 5-7 p.m. at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St. in Elkhart. Service will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Minister Brad Price of Goshen Church of Christ officiating. In accordance with the family’s wishes, cremation will follow services. Memorial donations may go to Teach Others Also Foundation.
Glenda was a beautiful, loving, kind, and outgoing woman who lived life to the fullest and always put her family first. She worked for 20 years as a manager at the Cracker Barrell in Elkhart and was an active member at Goshen Church of Christ. Glenda enjoyed kayaking and canoeing with her family and especially enjoyed spending time at the beach. She had a warm personality that always made everyone she met feel welcomed and loved. Glenda will be missed greatly by her loving family and many friends.
