Gill M. Ragsdale, 69, of Bristol, passed away on Sunday, May 30, 2021 at Elkhart General Hospital. He was born in Elkhart on September 25, 1951 to the late Glibert and Mary Lou (Porter) Ragsdale.
Gill is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Anita Ragsdale; son, Johnny (Mindy) Ragsdale; granddaughter, Miley Ragsdale; siblings, Jerry Ragsdale, Rick (Lejuana) Ragsdale, Kevin (Amy) Ragsdale, Leslie Ragsdale, and Scott Ragsdale; and his two faithful canine companions, Baby and Bella. He is preceded in death by his parents.
In accordance with Gill’s wishes, cremation was chosen and will take place at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St. and Altera Cremation Services in Elkhart. A Celebration of life gathering of family and friends will take place at the funeral home on Thursday, June 3, 2021 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Memorial donations may be given to the American Kidney Fund, Attn: Individual Giving, 11921 Rockville Pike Ste 300, Rockville, MD 20852.
Gill was a hard-working man who worked as a journeyman plumber / pipefitter for many years. He married the love of his life, Anita Hopkins, on January 6, 1979 and served proudly in the United States Army during the Vietnam war. Gill enjoyed fast cars and working on motors, he especially loved riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle whenever he had the chance. Gill had a strong faith and trust in the Lord and showed God’s love by being a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother. Gill will be missed greatly by his loving family and many friends.
