Francis L. Frey

Francis L. “Roy” Frey, 80, of Cassopolis, Michigan, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, May 1, 2020. Roy was born on April 3, 1940 in Goshen to the late Clarence and Lillian (Schrock) Frey.

He married Leella M. “Lee” Weirick on October 16, 1960 in Goshen, Lee died on April 25, 2018 after 57 years of marriage. Surviving is a daughter Karen Lawson, son David (Deborah) Frey; 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren and his sister Debra Evans.

In addition to his parents and wife, a son Mark Frey preceded him in death.

Roy worked for Honeywell for many years. After retiring, he and Lee delivered RV’s across the nation and were able to see much of the country. He was an artist and enjoyed painting and drawing. He also played the guitar and liked to pan for gold in the Western states. He also served in the U.S. Army.

Visitation will be from 1-2 pm (with proper distance procedures being followed) on Friday, May 8, 2020 at Billings Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Reames-Norton Cemetery in Cassopolis, Michigan.
