Elsie M. Chris

Elsie May Chris, 84, of Edwardsburg, MI, passed away on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born on October 5, 1936 in Ligonier, IN to the late Jonas and Mary (Miller) Beachy.

Elsie is survived by her son, Rodney (Tonya) Chris; daughter, Ronda Chris; granddaughter, Erica Plummer; three great grandchildren; and sister, Shirley Leonard. She is preceded in death by her parents; loving husband, Ronald Chris; and brother Daryle Beachy.

In accordance with Elsie’s wishes, cremation was chosen and will take place at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St. and Altera Cremation Services in Elkhart.

Elsie was an independent woman who always had a sense of humor. She was an active member of the Moose Lodge in Elkhart where she enjoyed playing Euchre, Bingo, and Trivia Pursuit. Elsie enjoyed visiting the casinos and testing her luck on the slot machines. She will be missed by her loving family and many friends.
