Doug R Gunter

Doug R. Gunter, 49 of Edwardsburg, MI, formally of Elkhart, passed away unexpectedly, on Wednesday 5, 2022 at his home.

He was born on February 25, 1972 in Monticello, Indiana to Faye (Galloway) Wagner. 

Members of the family left to cherish Doug’s memory include his sons Mark Wolfinger II and A.J Bower.  Daughters: Krystal Gunter, Raven Jenkins, Jennifer Marheine, and Tabetha Luther. The mother of his children Georgia Gunter,  Siblings: His best friend and partner in crime Tina Gunter, Beth Bader, Todd Galloway, Jim Wagner, Andy Wagner, Mindy Wagner, Billy Gunter, and Johnny Gunter.

Grandchildren: Gavin, Ryan, Ethan, Mark III, Skyler, Brennen, Michael, Dani, Stefen, Jeremy, Dillan, Jase, and Tyhon.

Doug was proceeded in death by an infant granddaughter Paisley, and his beloved dog Dozer.

Doug is remembered as a family man, who was the glue that held his family together. He adored his mother Faye and was a self-proclaimed Momma’s Boy. He loved his grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with all of them.  He was a jokester and always loved to have a good time, his family can’t recall when anyone could out-drink him either.   He recently purchased a motorcycle and enjoyed getting out and riding, even though it was a “rice burner” and not a Harley which his son frequently reminded him of.

When Doug wasn’t having a good time with his family he enjoyed working as a Glue Booth Operator at Robert Reed Plywood.

The family will hold a private service in Doug’s memory at a later day.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the funeral home to assist with funeral expenses.
