Doreen H. Kloosterman

Mrs. Doreen H. Kloosterman, 60, of Bristol, passed away peacefully at the Center for Hospice care in Elkhart on Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2020 at 6:30 pm.  She was born Oct. 21, 1959 in Grant, MI to Phillip J. DeJohn, Sr., who survives her, and Mildred A. (Wildoner) DeJohn, who precedes her.  

Other survivors include her children Greg (Megan) Kloosterman, Kristina R. Skipper and Timothy Kloosterman; siblings Phil DeJohn, Jr., Lee (Margie Reynolds) DeJohn, John (Cheryl) DeJohn and Paul (Julie) DeJohn and grandchildren Wyatt and Saige Skipper and Blake and Grady Kloosterman. Along with her mom, Doreen is preceded in death by her faithful German Shepherd, Diego.

In accordance with her wishes, cremation is to take place and then Doreen will be buried in Michigan at a later date. Billings Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Elkhart are assisting with arrangements.

Doreen was a receiving clerk at MSC Industrial Supply in Elkhart for many years. She was a 1977 graduate of Memorial High School and was known as “Flush” by her track team. She loved spending time with her family and friends but was especially close to her parents and her son Timothy.
