Laurie was a longtime member of Phi Sigma Alpha and was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church at one time. Later in life, she continued to keep her Catholic faith alive and strong, participating in live tapings of Mass services and praying the rosary when needed.

Laurie raised her children and grandchildren, caring for every family member with the utmost care and love. In her younger years, she was an avid bowler and as time went on, she enjoyed sewing, creating crocheted afghans, gardening, and going out shopping anywhere she could. Most importantly, she loved spending quality time with her family and her beloved feline companion, Lou Lou, who brought her so much company and joy.

Laurie will best be remembered as a faithful woman who led a loving, caring, and selfless life. She always had an energetic and happy air to her and loved to be social with others. Laurie, along with all the love and joy she shared, will be dearly missed by those whose hearts she touched throughout her life.
