Debra Ann Kiefer, 62, residing in Goshen, passed away Sunday, May 29, 2022, at Goshen Hospital, after a short but valiant battle with cancer. Debra was born on September 5, 1959, in Elkhart to the late Ralph Lamar and Norma Jean (Crume) Yoder. She married her true love Edward Austin Kiefer Jr. on April 21, 1979, in Elkhart. Surviving is her husband of 43 years, Ed Kiefer Jr.; two sons, Alexander (Samantha) Kiefer, Matthew (Nicole) Kiefer and her daughter Mandy (Jeremy) Larson; seven loving grandchildren, Elliana, Ariana, and Ryan Kiefer; Abby and Emma Larson and Emerson and Collins Kiefer; also surviving are two brothers, Gary (Marlene) Yoder, Don (Mary Lou) Yoder; and a sister Jan (Don) Horner.
Debra graduated in 1978 from Concord High School. She worked for Goshen Community Schools as a cafeteria worker. She was a member of Grace Community Church. Debra grew up on Clear Lake in Michigan, where she enjoyed the sun, swimming, and lake activities. She also liked camping, traveling with Ed and the simple things in life, like a good cup of coffee and finding a bargain at The Depot in Goshen.
A service celebrating the life of Debra Ann Kiefer will be held at Grace Community Church, 20076 CR 36, Goshen, IN 46526, where a visitation will be held from 4-6pm on June 21, 2022, and another visitation will be held from 10-11am on June 22, 2022, followed by a service from 11-12pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to Faith Mission, 801 Benham Ave., Elkhart.
