Craig Matthew Gonsoski, 48, of Elkhart, passed away Wednesday, December 23, 2020 in the comfort of his family, after a hard fought battle against Covid-19 at I U Health Methodist, Indianapolis. Craig was born on July 26, 1972 in Elkhart to Donald Thomas and L. Kay (Funk) Gonsoski. His father Donald passed away October 5, 2000. He married his true love and best friend Vanessa E. December 30, 2020 11:28 PMCraig and I were friends in high school. I remember always being impressed with how easy he made everything he did look. He was kind hearted and a hard worker. We worked at Martin's grocery store together for a couple of years and he would always make the customers feel welcome and cared for, and when he ran cashier all of the baggers wanted to bag for him, including me.
Craig was my best man at my wedding. When my wife and I got to our honeymoon suite we found that Craig had left a basket full of goodies for us to enjoy on our honeymoon. He was a thoughtful and loyal friend that you could count on. May the peace of Christ be with Vanessa and their girls and the entire Gonsoski family at this time.

One time when we needed help launching a hot air ballon, he was right there to help, even though he never got to ride in it.
We will miss his kindness and smile.
